Kriterion Academy – from landing page to seamless registration flow
A full sign-up journey branding, UX design, Divi web development and e-mail automation
Stichting Kriterion asked me to help launch the brand-new Kriterion Academy: an internal training program aimed at helping staff across their enterprises grow. These include venues such as Studio/K, Skek, Kriterion Cinema, and Kriterion Studentenpomp.
This project was a full brand- and user experience journey. From first flyer to signed diploma. So I teamed up with Geertje Ruitenburg! 💡
A new branding
Geertje created a new logo, color palette and custom illustrations to ensure instant recognition and professional credibility within the Kriterion network. We applied this consistently across flyers, the website, emails, certificates and tote bags.

Strategic customer journey touchpoints
- To encourage sign-ups, building awareness was key. We placed flyers in staff areas featuring a QR code that linked directly to the Academy site.
- The landing page then clearly explained what the training offered, when it would take place and how to register.
- A clean CTA structure made it easy to navigate: scannable titles and a prominent sticky sign-up button.
- After registration, users landed on a confirmation page and received a confirmation email. 3 Days before the training an automated reminder email was sent.
- On the training day, participants received diplomas and tote bags. Physical tokens of recognition that made the Kriterion Academy experience tangible and valuable.

Landing page automation & email flows
- Landing page built in WordPress Divi using custom modules for schedules, practical info, and FAQs.
- Smart registration form integrated with MailerLite via API.
- Instant confirmation email sent upon sign-up: no manual effort required.
- Automated reminder email sent 3 days before training, fully branded and eliminating manual follow-ups.
Physical touchpoints
High-quality, hand-signed diplomas were meaningful mementos, while the tote bags featuring Kriterion Academy artwork were gifted after course completion and have become a visible symbol of participation on the work floor.

Results
- 86% of the employees signed-up in the first month!
- We set up a feedback form and received 100% positive staff responses regarding the landing page design and registration flow. And they loved the tote bags! Which are now part of the daily Kriterion environment.
A solid foundation for future courses
Because the first course was such a success, a second one quickly followed.
We re-used the templates and expanded on the existing branding foundation, evolving it to perfectly suit the new course content. We optimized automation flows and cut our design and development time with at least 50%.
That’s the advantage of setting up a professional framework from the start: it makes future rollouts faster, cheaper and just as impactful.
